FHW Franz Haas Waffelmaschinen GmbH: The foundation stone for the company was laid in Vienna in 1905. It was there that Franz Haas invented the pioneering HV6 wafer machine in the late 1940s, which was to revolutionize the industrial production of wafers. This was followed by the establishment of the Franz Haas Wafer Machine company in 1966 and a worldwide expansion with production branches in Brazil, the USA, and China. At the site in Leobendorf, mainly production plants for wafers, soft wafers and ice cream cones are manufactured. In the local Wafer Innovation Center, an experienced food technology team tests new recipes and thus continues the long tradition of the company with a fresh spirit of innovation.

The Group: FHW Franz Haas Waffelmaschinen GmbH, world market leader for the production of wafer machines, has been part of the Swiss Bühler Group since January 2018. With the Consumer Foods division, the company makes a decisive contribution to the production of pastries, sweets and snacks worldwide.
