Auer Signal is one of the world’s leading manufacturing companies in the field of signal technology. Auer Signal develops and produces signal devices for use in industry at its Vienna location.

The company was founded in Vienna in 1910 and is a traditional family-run company now in its fourth generation. With an international trading network, Auer Signal’s products are used worldwide in automation technology, mechanical and plant engineering, building services engineering, the chemical and petrochemical industries and in numerous other safety applications.

With a high level of technical innovation, tailor-made special developments for customers, excellent delivery reliability and the highest production quality, Auer Signal can succeed on the international market with an export rate of over 90%.

Auer Signal’s product portfolio covers the entire range of industrial signal devices – from modular and compact signal towers, which represent the most important product group, to optical and acoustic signal devices and optical–acoustic combination devices.

Auer Signal’s portfolio also includes optical, acoustic and optical–acoustic built-in signal devices as well as explosion-protected signal devices. Finally, Auer Signal also offers weatherproof and explosion-proof industrial telephones.

The company provides a wide range of accessories for all its products.

Auer Signal was founded as J. Auer Fabrik elektrischer Maschinen by Johann Auer in Vienna in 1910. The company initially produced electric drive motors.

In 1938, the son of Johann Auer, Hubert Auer, started the production of motor sirens.

In 1978, he handed over the management to his sons Georg and Michael Auer, who developed the first explosion-proof signal devices and telephones for the industry.

In 1986, they also began to produce optical and acoustic signalling devices. The strong growth led to the foundation of a German sales company in 2001. In the following years, the international sales structure was built up. Today the company is represented worldwide.

In 2007, a new, modern production site was built and opened in Perfektastrasse 102.

In 2015, Christian Auer and his sister Antonia Korger took over the management of J. Auer in the fourth generation.

In 2017, they changed the company name to Auer Signal.
